FAQ

Answers about FlashCardStudy, public decks, Pro limits, and the study workflow.

01

What is FlashCardStudy built for? — It is built for learners who want a clean spaced-repetition workflow, public deck sharing, and enough structure to make short daily sessions feel worth repeating.

02

What do I get on the free plan? — Free includes unlimited decks, study sessions, JSON imports, public decks, and image support through remote URLs.

03

What changes on Pro? — Pro adds direct image uploads from your computer or phone, supports the independent project, and will receive more features over time, including a statistics page.

04

Can I publish my own decks publicly? — Yes. Each deck can stay private while you refine it, then become public with a shareable link and public description once it is ready.

05

Can I import a public deck into my own workspace? — Yes. Importing creates your own workspace copy so you can study it, edit it, and keep your own review history separate from the original public deck.

06

Does the app support images? — Yes. Free cards can use remote image URLs. Pro lets you upload image files directly so FlashCardStudy stores them for you.

07

How is the review order decided? — The app prioritizes due cards, weaker cards, and recent failures so even short sessions focus on the material most likely to improve retention.

08

Can I study in both directions? — Yes. You can switch between front-to-back and back-to-front depending on whether you want recognition or active recall.
